Rutland Square Hotel is situated in the heart of Nottingham, just 50 yards from the castle. The hotel shares the city's proud heritage and has retained its elegance while offering all the modern facilities that our guests expect.
Part of the Forestdale Hotel Group, the Rutland Square Hotel has an enviable location in the heart of historic Nottingham, retaining its period elegance, whilst offering comfort and charm in the centre of the city. The hotel is right next to Nottingham Castle only 50 yards away and, nearby, there are a variety of historic attractions including the Caves, Galleries of Justice, the Lace Market and the 'Oldest Pub in England'. The hotel combines style and practicality in modern surroundings with all the facilities you would expect. Newly refurbished, many of the old single rooms have been transformed into delightful, airy, premier double rooms. Tastefully decorated and furnished in modern comfort, the hotel now has 85 fully-equipped en suite bedrooms and suites. All rooms have direct dial telephone, satellite colour TV, hospitality tray, hairdryer and that famous family of Forestdale Ducks. The top floor Penthouse Suite has both lounge and dining areas, as well as a luxurious bathroom complete with a double size jacuzzi. The hotel also offers ample discounted off-street parking in the adjacent car park.

If cancelled up to 12:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

This family room sleeps 2 adults and a maximum of 2 children under 14 years of age. The room is comprised of a standard double bed with maximum of 2 foldaway beds.
The grand marbled entrance and reception hall are surrounded by extensive and comfortable lounge areas in which guests can enjoy a variety of refreshments or simply relax whilst reading the papers.
Woods Restaurant is located within the hotel; the menu has been selected to provide a wide range of choices to suit every taste and appetite. The ingredients are sourced from the highest quality suppliers and local produce is used wherever possible. All the desserts are home made. Friendly and personal service compliments not only the food, but the extensive list of carefully chosen and affordable wines.
The Woods Bar is adjacent to the restaurant and offers all that you would expect from a stylish venue – from an exciting cocktail to a simple espresso. Light bites are available from 11:30 until 22:00 daily.
Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 09:30.
Lunch is served from 11:00 until 15:00.
Dinner is served from 18:00 until 21:30.
By car:
- Exit at junction 24 of the M1 onto the A453 for Nottingham city centre.
- On approaching the city centre, follow brown tourist signs for Nottingham Castle and Castle College signs.
- On Maid Marian Way you will come to some crossroads (Martin & Co Lettings, Castle Sound and Vision are on the corners). Turn left onto Friar Lane as you approach the front of the castle.
- Follow the road to the right and you will see the hotel's main entrance on your right.

From junctions 25 and 26 of the M1:
- Follow signs for the city centre and castle, which takes you onto Maid Marian Way.
- At the crossroads (you will see Evans Cycles shop and Tales of Robin Hood on your right) turn right onto Friar Lane.
- As you approach the front of the castle, follow the road round to the right and you will see the hotel main entrance on your right.
